Understanding POS Systems

A point of sale system is composed of hardware and software that allows both inventory control and a sales point.

POS Equipment

Point of Sale equipment (also called the hardware) is divided into several sections: the computer (or CPU), the monitor, scanner, cash drawer, credit card reader, and printer. Each part is necessary to have an effective Point of Sale

POS Computer
